Located in Monteira, Vila Nova do Ceira, the Ciclo da Truta de Góis - Parque da Monteira is an exhibition space that explores four thematic areas:
- The Water Cycle
- The Ceira Valley
- Man and the River
- The Trout Cycle
Information is available through informative panels, descriptive videos, virtual reality, and the corresponding educational plan. Additionally, the outdoor area of the exhibition space has been prepared to host environmental interpretation activities. Particular attention is given to the brown trout, with tanks built for breeding this species. In this way, the aim is to revitalize the fish density in the Sótão River, one of the tributaries of the Ceira River.
The Ciclo da Truta de Góis - Parque da Monteira opens its doors every third weekend of each month. Visits for small groups, outside of the regular schedule, can be arranged at the Municipal Tourist Office, through the numbers 235 770 110 and 235 770 113 or by email at turismo@cm-gois.pt.
