The relationship with shale is evident in the Sobral de São Miguel Bathing Area, which is why the inhabitants of this Aldeia do Xisto believe that it is the "Coração do Xisto” (Heart of the Shale).
But stone is not the only thing this village is made of. There are plenty of hidden treasures to discover in Sobral de São Miguel, followed by a refreshing swim in its pure and crystalline waters.
Da Covilhã, sair pela N18 em direcção a Tortosendo e depois pela N230 até ao cruzamento para Paul e Casegas. Nesta ultima localidade, siga pela M511 até Sobral de São Miguel. Na Aldeia siga até à Rua da Lage, no limite oeste da localidade.
