The relationship with shale is evident in the Sobral de São Miguel Bathing Area, which is why the inhabitants of this Aldeia do Xisto believe that it is the "Coração do Xisto” (Heart of the Shale).

From Covilhã, take the N18 towards Tortosendo. Then, follow the N230 until the junction for Paul and Casegas. In Casegas, continue on the M511 until you reach Sobral de São Miguel. In the village, follow Rua da Lage, located at the western edge of the locality.
