As would be expected, many of these are strongly linked to the history of settlement here, bearing witness to the times when the village was at its richest and most important. In addition to the simple architectural lines that can be seen on the outside of the religious buildings, and the decorative elements that provide some hints to the artistic styles in which they were built, this group of buildings also features a collection of important pictures, some of which date to the 16th and 17th centuries. Reference should also be made to the João de Ruão school decorative pieces.
