The River Beach of Piódão is hidden on the slopes of the Serra do Açor, in the middle of the village of Piódão, one of the most visited historic Villages in Portugal, with its picturesque village setting and beautiful landscape. Like the village, the beach uses shale on the access routes and water reservoir, which is only closed in summer.
The cool waters of the Piódão river reflect its purity, recognized with the Blue Flag award, while the trees on the slopes provide shade on the hottest days.
The surroundings are rich in walking and mountain bike trails, well marked throughout the mountain range, which enable the region to be fully explored.

From Arganil: always follow the N342, and the indications for Piódão, passing through Côja. In Côja continue towards Vila Cova de Alva but, before getting there, keep following the signs to Piódão and continue along the N344. 21km later continue along the EM508, always following the signs.
