The Oitava Forest in the Lousã Mountain occupies 470 hectares within the municipality of Góis, all of it within the Natura 2000 Network. Since the 70s, this forest has been the site for several events to plant forest species perfectly adapted to the location, and of scenic and environmental interest.

Chestnut trees can be found here, along with other notable hardwoods such as maritime pine, the Douglas-fir or the cluster pine, as well as sub-shrub species such as the arbutus tree or holly. The forest also features a leisure park, near a permanent waterway, alongside a weir built to support the fighting of forest fires.

Picnics can be held here, and there is an available barbecue that can be used outside the high-risk fire season. The Oitava Forest is a habitat for endangered birds and mammals, such as deer and roe deer.
