Adapted from the natural dams of the Azenha stream, the Louçainha River Beach is a source of pride for the people of the district of Penela. Hidden in the midst of the Serra do Espinhal, the bathing area is absolutely chock-a-block in the summer months.
The quality of the water, the excellent river facilities and the concern for the environment have earned it regular Blue Flag awards, which it signals, together with the Accessible Beach classification.
Except in the area reserved for children, the depth of the bathing area is over three metres under the diving board, making it the perfect place for swimming. In this river refuge in the midst of the mountains, there is also a restaurant / bar with panoramic views.
