Located in the former Taborda Falcão de Elvas Estate, the Fundão Archaeological Museum - José Alves Monteiro is a multipurpose space dedicated to Hispanic archaeology. Among the epigraphic, prehistoric and Castro culture exhibits, there are pieces of high scientific value.
To walk its corridors is to embark on a journey through this municipality’s history, in a unique opportunity to learn about its past.
In recent years, the Museum’s scientific work has been recognised with three awards by the Portuguese Association of Museology.
