The Froia River Beach is one of the show-pieces of the municipality of Proença-a-Nova. The clear, crystalline water of the sources of the Froia river, the freshness and natural beauty of the space are the main features of this beach that has won several awards, such as its reclassification as a Gold Quality Beach in 2017.

In addition to the wide promenade, where visitors can lay out their towels, Froia beach has a sandy area, with a small playground. During the bathing season there is free transport from Proença-a-Nova. Froia Mountain Bike Centre is also near the beach, offering bikes for those who fancy discovering the best of the landscapes of Proença-a-Nova on two wheels.

If you prefer, you can choose to walk the circular path along the river.

Apenas a 11km de Proença-a-Nova. No IC8, sair para Sobreira Formosa, na Ex-EN233 e seguir até ao centro da vila. Aí seguir placas até à praia fluvial (Fróia)
