Cardigos River Beach is located 5 minutes from the parish of Cardigos, on the road connecting Cardigos to the area of the Valleys in Mação district.
Located near the Vergancinho Dam, the beach is characterized above all by the transparency of its water. It has its own barbecues, a spacious picnic area, a beach bar and a pleasant relaxation area.
There is also a very inviting grassy area (with natural shade) where visitors can lay out their towels and a small space with sand and straw hats.

The simplest route to reach the beach for those coming from the north is via the IC8, taking the Cardigos exit. For those coming from the south on the A23, travel the 28 km from Mação to Cardigos, then continue the remaining 2 km to the river beach.
