Last 7 December, at 3pm, the Church of Misericórdia of Álvaro hosted the XJAZZ - Aldeias do Xisto Jazz Cycle concert, with João Gentil. The turnout couldn't have been better, as it was packed with spectators.
At this concert, João Gentil presented his new work based on the transatlantic axis between Portuguese and Argentine culture, uniting two musical genres emanating from the intangible heritage of Humanity: Tango and Fado.
His first album is called “ConLatinidade", and it was released in December 2014, on the Antena 1 label and features the participation of Argentine, Portuguese, and Brazilian musicians.
In association with the concert was the promotional campaign XJAZZ EXPERIENCE, which offers participants the opportunity of visiting the Aldeias do Xisto by buying a package of two nights for two people, with breakfast and a jazz concert included.
