The Santa Luzia River Beach is among the 44 Portuguese swimming areas identified by Associação ZERO without any pollution in the water.
This means that there was no contamination in the analyses carried out and it has been classified as 'excellent' for over three seasons.
Of the 44 swimming sites with zero pollution, of the 7% total, only two are inland swimming areas, Santa Luzia is one of them.
For Pampilhosa da Serra County Hall, this recognition attests the quality of its river beaches and reveals the Council’s concern and investment in the preservation of the environment and in the promotion of its natural heritage and landscape.
It should be noted that the Santa Luzia River Beach was also awarded with the Blue Flag certificate, together with the River Beaches of Pampilhosa da Serra and Pessegueiro.
