The Mediterranean region is a mosaic of agricultural fields intertwined with wild, mountainous, urban areas and communication routes. It is in this context that, in collaboration with the public, various artists explore and create forms or situations that contribute to new narratives. These narratives promote innovative ways to reconstruct the world, ensuring rural areas remain spaces of life, refuge, and inspiration.
This is the starting point for the Thematic Days on Art, Agriculture, and Biodiversity, taking place at the Aix-en-Provence School of Art on December 2 and 3. The initiative, part of the Entre Serras – Creative Europe project, in which the Aldeias do Xisto are partners, brings together artists, students, teachers, and professionals interested in the potential connections between art and agriculture/rural and urban worlds.
