Agricultura Lusitana (Lusitanian Agriculture)
The project Agricultura Lusitana was developed within the framework of the participation of Aldeias do Xisto Schist Villages (ADXTUR) representing Portugal as a guest country at "EUNIQUE 2015". Around 150 people from 9 educational institutions were involved -
the aim of this project was to create a team of 22 national design colleges, 22 craft workshops and a design team, that were invited to immerse themselves in the real world of the villages and draw inspiration from their context in order to create objects that reflect the memory and identity of Portuguese culture, regional values and the Portuguese spirit. Re-creating the culture of places with the people who live there is the thrust of the Schist Villages’ plans to produce social and economic value in the region.
