Lousã Municipal Hall joins European Mobility Week 2018, which runs until 22 September, with the theme "Multimodality" and the slogan “Mix and Move".
The programme raises awareness of the impact that individual mobility solutions have on the community and the potential benefits of adopting best practice for the environment, health, and quality of life.
Thus, during the week, the local authority project "Safety Workshop", with the mascot "Violeta Stop", was in several educational establishments, raising awareness about the importance of sustainable mobility.
The Secondary School, School No. 1 and Professional School received the 2nd edition of the project “Pedal for School", which encourages students to cycle to school and back on the last Friday of every month.
The initiative, aimed at middle and secondary school students, will reward the team with the greatest number of participants by the deadline.
On 21 September, all day long, journeys on the "UrbLousã" network are free of charge, to encourage the use of public transport.
School No. 1 receives presentation of the documentary "Bike vs Cars” followed by a debate on the theme.
The Free-Time Activity Centre of School No. 2 is already hosting a session to try out different bicycles (joulette, buggy bike, focus bike and ebike).
On Saturday 22 September, during the "Lousã Outlet" event, information leaflets will be distributed, and several awareness-raising activities will be promoted.
