How to visit the Fajão Geoscope
news
The Geoscope – Fajão Astronomical Observatory is a structure for observing the dark sky and for teaching and pedagogy about astronomy.

The structure consists of a Dome, a place of observation and sensory knowledge at the top of Fajão (about one kilometer on foot and 3 kilometers by car), and a Kiosk located in the village of Fajão (municipality of Pampilhosa da Serra).

The Dome is a free-entry and access observation structure, but if you do not have a scheduled organized visit, it is advisable to bring your own observation equipment or be dazzled by the magnificent dark sky of Fajão with the most exciting observation instrument of Humanity, your eyes.

The Kiosk is a reception and welcoming space that integrates theoretical and practical content, with models and virtual reality, and playful-pedagogical activities. At the Kiosk, you can also check the calendar of events and dark sky observations, with observation sessions "Starlight Journey", astrophotography, and guided tours, always by reservation and prior registration with certified tour operators

There are already observation programs that you can schedule on the BookinXisto website at the following links:
