The British national track cycling team is training in Miranda do Corvo. The 12 elements of the delegation, which includes athletes with world and Olympic titles in the sport, settled in at the Hotel Parque Serra da Lousãand have been enjoying the excellent cycling conditions that the region offers.

It should be noted that the Aldeias do Xisto host several cycling initiatives, some of which are part of the Cyclin' Portugal project, which reaffirms the region’s position as the counry’s premier destination of excellence for the practice of this sport, a combination of quality infrastructures, competitive and leisure events, and tourism programmes and services.

The "excellent welcome" delighted the Technical Manager. Their impression was so positive that the England team will be back foranother training camp in November and is considering another return next year.

This decision made the Mayor of Miranda do Corvo proud. "I hope this is the first of many training camps for international sports teams in our county", said Miguel Batista.
