The Aldeias do Xisto River Beach Network has, in 2024, a total of 15 Blue Flag beaches, as reported by ABAE – the European Blue Flag Association. Additionally, Quercus awarded 23 beaches with the "Gold Quality" designation. Moreover, 27 locations are classified as Accessible, with 17 of them equipped with amphibious chairs.
Water quality and surrounding environment are key selection criteria for these spaces, which are often located in areas with environmental heritage and protected natural spaces. Year after year, the river beaches of the Aldeias do Xisto stand out as leisure and well-being spots where visitors are enticed to stay and enjoy.
