Senhor dos Passos and Holy Week in Pedrógão Grande

The Municipality of Pedrógão Grande invites the entire community to take part in the Holy Week celebrations, a time of faith and tradition taking place from April 5 to April 20. This event, rich in religious and cultural significance, features various processions, masses, and liturgical ceremonies.

These celebrations allow the faithful to relive the final moments of Jesus Christ’s life, beginning on April 5 with the Procession of the Lord of the Steps and culminating with the Resurrection Procession on Easter Sunday. Everyone is invited to experience this period of reflection and spiritual renewal, a manifestation of faith that unites generations. The full program is available HERE.

The event is organized by the Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption of Pedrógão Grande and the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Pedrógão Grande, in collaboration with the Municipality and Parish Council of Pedrógão Grande, the Volunteer Firefighters, GNR, the Pedrógão Grande Scout Group, the Pedroguense Philharmonic, and the Liturgical Choir of the Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption.
