The Convent Park, in Fundão, is the stage for the MTB Cyclin' Portugal XCO Cycling Cup, in the C1 International Category, organised by the Municipality of Fundão, BTTGardunha - Cycling Club, the Portuguese Cycling Federation and the Union Cycliste Internationale. The race will take place on 11 and 12 May.
The XCO Fundão race consists of categories for all ages and both sexes (Cadets, Juniors, Under-23, Elites and Masters) and shows that the Serra da Gardunha is one of the best places for mountain biking , and to hold a high national level race, with a 4,200 metre-long course. The XCO Fundão track is considered by many as “the best natural track in Portugal”. The Cyclin' Portugal project recognises the Aldeias do Xisto as an excellent region for cycling.
