The International Portuguese Appalachian Trail will have a sector in the municipality of Oleiros, the GR38 - Great Muradal - Pangeia Route, with about 37Km. This Great Route alludes to the emblematic quartzite mountain, where it develops, the Serra da Moradal.
The inauguration programme spans two days. On Saturday, the official inauguration ceremony will take place, for the meeting of the communities that live around the Serra do Muradal, and for the pedestrian walk, during which there will be food, folk music and period theatrical performances by Viv'Arte.
At the end of the day there will be a typical Portuguese meal.
On Sunday, the Gastronomic Festival of Roasted Kid and Maranho will be held and you will be able to taste the famous gastronomic delicacies of Oleirans and also watch a play.

8:30am - Gathering in the square of the Parish Council of Estreito- Vilar Barroco.
9am - Inauguration ceremony.
9:45am - Start of the hike.
11:15am - Arrival of Portelo. Meeting of Communities with the arrival of the population of Sarnadas de São Simão. Food Drive.
1:30pm- Lunch in Vilar Barroco.
6pm – Arrival at Orvalho.
7:30pm - Traditional Dinner.

9am - 8th Pedestrian Walk Total Pinhal - Sesmaria Route.
12pm – Lunch: Gastronomic Festival of Roasted Kid (participating restaurants).
3pm - Theatrical seasonal demonstration at the Municipal Garden of Oleiros.
7pm - Dinner: Gastronomic Festival of Roasted Kid (participating restaurants).
