Within Cyclin' Portugal's 2018 calendar the Aldeias do Xisto are hosting the European Downhill Championship (DHI), between April 6th and 8th. The best elite, junior and masters athletes gather at Louzanpark in Lousã.
On day 6, the official practice sessions will take place, on day 7 the qualifying events and on day 8, the final, where the new European champions will be decided.

Before that, on the weekend of 24 and 25 March, Louzanpark is also hosting the third stage of the Downhill Portugal Cup 2018.
For those who want to follow the European Downhill Championship and take the opportunity to practice the sport, the mountain biking Centres set up by the Aldeias do Xisto are equipped with everything you need. There are CrossCountry, DownHill or FreeRide trails, signposted with internationally adopted specific signposting, with four levels of difficulty (green, blue, red and black) suitable for all types of users.
The calendar of Cyclin' Portugal 2018 was recently presented, recognising the Aldeias do Xisto as a prime cycling destination. The Aldeias do Xisto Classic and the Passeio da Primavera walk, scheduled for 25 March, are also on the calendar.
