Registrations are now open for Series 3 of AXTrail 24/25, an iconic trail running competition that will take place on June 15, with its epicenter in the Aldeia do Xisto of Fajão, in the municipality of Pampilhosa da Serra. This is the stage for AXTrail Series 3, scheduled for June 15.
The event includes three competitive races and a walk:
- AXTrail Series #3, starting at Malhada do Rei and finishing in Fajão. The course is 26 km with a cumulative positive elevation gain of 1670m;
- AXTrail Experience, starting at Ponte de Fajão and finishing in Fajão. This route is 12 km long with a 814m positive elevation gain;
- Vertical Xisto, a vertical race, starting at Covanca and finishing at Picoto de Cebola. It covers a distance of 2.2 km with a 720m positive elevation gain;
- Schist Walk, with a distance of 10 kilometers.
It is possible to combine registration in AXTrail – Series 3 or Trail Experience – with Vertical Xisto, which takes place the day before, on June 14.
AXTrail 24/25 began on November 10 of last year in Castanheira de Pêra and will end in October this year in the same municipality, with the Ultra Trail Aldeias do Xisto event, following the races in Góis on April 27 and Pampilhosa da Serra on June 15.
The event is organized by the Clube de Praticantes Mondego Ultra Trail, with the support and collaboration of the municipalities involved.
