With a degree in Industrial Design, Vasco Baltazar uses traditional tools and techniques in search of a contemporary results. Pottery is his technique of choice, seeking in each piece the deconstruction of symmetry. He cuts, pastes, adds, removes, lengthens and shortens the material. He uses a gas oven for baking due to its potential for surprising final results. The fire is part of the finish of each piece and adds to its uniqueness. He collaborated with Aldeias do Xisto in the Água Musa project, with the play "Puxe, Empurre” (“Pull, Push”). As part of L4Craft, he produced, along with Kerstin Thomas, a piece that evokes the artisanal preparation of cheese. For the Agricultura Lusitana project, in partnership with ceramist Zita Rosa, she created the pieces "Lusitudes I" and "Lusitudes II".
