Returning to the stage after a lengthy period of confinement, Rodrigo Amado opens the XJazz - Jazz Encounters in the Aldeias do Xisto, presenting the result of a long musical reflection dedicated to the research and exploration of classic materials that he considers to be the basis of his path as a musician, his roots. The show takes place on 3 July, in the Aldeia do Xisto of Martim Branco, in Castelo Branco.

From Ornette Coleman to Sonny Rollins, Don Cherry, Sam Rivers or Thelonious Monk, Amado sought to purify the structural elements of the themes of these masters, refracting the musical energy contained in them in order to produce music, improvised, of the moment, that simultaneously contains elements of this musical tradition and of his own DNA as a musician.
 

A deeply personal style of improvisation in which he seeks to recover and organically integrate structural elements of his discourse that now reveal new meaning. On stage, solo, he surrenders to that energy.
